Two nabbed for treasure hunting

Two persons have been arrested for treasure hunting on a stone found in a village of Galabedda in the Moneragala Police Division.

Police said the suspects were aged between thirty-three and twenty-three. They were residents of Badulla and Moneragala.

Police have seized a large quantity of equipment used for excavations and are to be produced before the Moneragala Magistrate's Court today.

PM, Former President to meet tomorrow

A meeting between Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and former President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to take place tomorrow. That was to discuss the proposed new alliance between the SLFP and the SLFP. It is said that a final agreement will be reached regarding the alliance for the next general election.
