Navy holds a person with Kerala Cannabis

Navy apprehended a person with 150g of Kerala Cannabis at Palliwasalthurai area in Kalpitiya, on 25th August 2019.

Accordingly, this amount of KG was found while searching a suspicious person, during a foot patrol carried out by Northwestern Naval Command.

The suspect is a resident of Palliwasalthurai area in Kalpitiya aged 52. He along with the seized amount of KG was handed over to Kalpitiya Police for further investigation.

A meeting between Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and former President Maithripala Sirisena is scheduled to take place tomorrow. That was to discuss the proposed new alliance between the SLFP and the SLFP. It is said that a final agreement will be reached regarding the alliance for the next general election.
